Hello, everyone!
First of all, on behalf of the Hong Kong, Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao Association of Property and Facility Management in the Greater Bay Area (HKGDPFMA), I would like to extend my warmest welcome and sincerest thanks to each and every member who has chosen to join the Association! Since the establishment of the Federation in August 2024, we have brought together industry elites, corporate representatives and professional organizations from Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao to build this important platform for promoting the integration and development of the property and facility management industry. Your trust and support is the greatest driving force for the Federation to move forward, and the core force for the property management industry in the Bay Area to move towards internationalization.
The birth of the Federation is closely related to the national strategy of the "Outline of the Plan for the Development of the Greater Bay Area of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao", and shoulders the important mission of promoting the unification of industry standards, mutual recognition of talents' qualifications, and integration of technological innovation among the three places. We are fully aware that the development of the Bay Area is inseparable from a smart, livable and sustainable city management system, and property and facility management, as the "nerve center" of city operation, needs to gather the wisdom of the entire industry chain, break down regional barriers, and realize the leap from "doing things separately" to "working together".
Up to now, the Federation has already attracted 114 founding members, including professional associations such as the Hong Kong Institute of Housing and the Hong Kong Chapter of the International Association of Facility Management, leading enterprises such as Hong Yip Service and Kai Shing Management, as well as many industry leaders with an international perspective. This diversified and professional membership is the solid foundation for us to fulfill our mission - we will take "talent cultivation" as the core, "technological innovation" as the driving force, and "green transformation" as the direction to build an international first-class property management ecosystem for the Bay Area.
As the President of the Federation, I feel a great responsibility. The development of the Federation would not be possible without the participation and contribution of every member. We will focus on the needs of our members, and we will push forward our work in three major directions:
Establishment of Resource Matching Platform: Through the standing committees (Professional Development, Membership Development, Mainland and Overseas Affairs, etc.) and the regular organization of technical seminars, industry forums and study tours and exchanges, we have facilitated the in-depth linkage of enterprises in the three places in terms of project co-operation, technological research and development, and standard-setting. For example, we are promoting the establishment of a "Bay Area Property Management Talent Certification System", striving to achieve mutual recognition of qualifications so as to facilitate the unimpeded mobility of professionals in the Bay Area.
Promoting the quality and upgrading of the industryThe Federation will actively coordinate government policies and reflect industry aspirations, as well as introduce intelligent management technologies (e.g. Internet of Things, big data) and green sustainability concepts (e.g. energy-saving technologies, ESG standards) to help member companies enhance their service quality and competitiveness. Recently, we have entered into cooperation with a number of universities and research institutes to develop training courses that focus on the characteristics of property management in the Bay Area to help practitioners upgrade their capabilities.
Protect the rights and honor of membersThe Federation will act as a "bridge" and "back-up" for both individual members' career development and corporate members' business opportunities, and will fight for policy support, market resources and industry recognition for all of them. We have set up volunteer legal and financial consultant teams to provide professional support to our members and relieve their worries.
The Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) is moving at an astonishing speed towards a "world-class bay area", and the property and facility management industry is now facing unprecedented development opportunities. From Hong Kong's internationalized service standards, to Guangdong's industrial innovation and vitality, to Macao's advantages in diversified integration, the synergistic "chemical reaction" between the three places will give rise to unlimited possibilities.
It is my sincere hope that every member will make the Association their "home" and take the initiative to participate in the construction of the Association, share their experience, contribute their wisdom and expand their cooperation. Whether you are an experienced practitioner who has been working in the industry for many years or a young team who is brave to innovate, the Federation will provide a stage for you to show your talent and connect with resources. Let's take "international vision, professionalism and innovation" as our guide, and work together to promote the Bay Area property management industry towards standardization, intelligence and internationalization, and contribute our professional strength to build a "smart, livable and sustainable" Bay Area!
Finally, I would like to thank each and every member for their trust and companionship. We will walk side by side on the road ahead!
(used at the end of a letter introduce a polite salutation)
Hong Kong, Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao Greater Bay Area Property and Facility Management Association
Mr. Tony Tse, Founding President
